Questions

Answers about VR Connect: how it works, what the light means, and how to care for it.

What is VR Connect?

A small wearable that attaches to a shirt with two contacts on the fabric. Touch both contacts at the same time and VR Connect lights up in a color based on the resistance it reads between them.

Do I need an app or a phone?

No. There’s no app and no screen. The light is the readout.

How do I use it?

Put on the shirt with VR Connect attached. Place one finger on each contact at the same time, then watch the light. The color shifts as your touch changes.

What do the colors mean?

Orange is the strongest connection your skin can make. As resistance rises, the light moves through green, yellow, cyan and blue to purple, the faintest. No glow means no connection.

Why is the light blinking red?

The two contacts are touching each other directly, with nothing in between, so there’s no resistance to read. For example, the contacts are pressed together or joined by a piece of metal.

Can I feel the signal?

No. The signal is too small to feel.

Why does the color change when I press harder?

A firmer touch presses more skin against the contacts, which lowers resistance, so the color moves toward orange. A light touch reads toward purple.

How do I wash the shirt?

Take VR Connect off the shirt first, then wash the shirt. Full care instructions will be in the User Manual & Care Guide at launch.

What powers VR Connect?

A small coin-cell battery that you can replace yourself. The User Manual will show how to swap it.

When can I buy VR Connect?

It isn’t on sale yet. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you the moment the shop opens.
